My name is Janet Evans and I’m going on six years now of doing hair. I absolutely love what I do.. Following a divorce, I found that my degree in Mental Health/Social Work, was not what I wanted to do.. Hair has always been a passion of mine, so I enrolled in Cosmetology College , and I haven’t looked back! Since graduation I’ve been working behind the chair at Agape Salon and Spa. It’s been a great pleasure to work with the girls here and also a fantastic opportunity to grow and continue my education. My name is Teresa. I haven’t always loved to do hair. In-fact, as a young girl Tonka trucks, a sandbox and riding horses were it. I attended Cosmetology school in 1988 and stayed on to complete my Instructors course. After graduating, my biggest goal was to have my own salon. God blessed me with that dream April of 2005 and it has been quite the adventure to say the least. I have learned a lot about myself and about owning a business. My goal everyday is to give clients a style or color that works best for them and to teach them how to achieve it on their own.
My name is Lisa Howard. I’ve been here at Agape Salon and Spa for 3 years. Hair has always been a passion of mine. I've been working in salons since I was 15. There was no doubt in my mind that this was going to be my career. I decided to attend David Pressley School of cosmetology right out of high school and have always attended hair shows and have been interested in the newest styles. I’ve been behind a chair doing what I love for 6 years, and I am also a licensed skin care specialist. I love to make people feel beautiful.
I’m Nicole Shipp, and I’m 20. I have been at the salon now for almost a year. My Job at the salon is being the Receptionist, I love it, my job doesn’t require many standards and gives me freedom to watch the stylist at work. I also attend David Pressley school of Cosmetology . I started in September 2009 and plan on graduating in august of 2010. I have always found hair to be interesting and can’t wait to be a stylist.
My name is Dina Hannam. I’m 19 years old and I recently graduated from Michigan college of Beauty in November of ’09. I always loved the industry of beauty so I attended beauty school part time while I was still in high school to get a head start. I was offered an assisting program right out of the beauty school and once I walked in Agape I knew it was the place for me. This assisting program teaches me a lot about being professional in my everyday salon work. I love learning new techniques and expanding my knowledge in this industry so I still continue my education by going to hair classes.
My name’s Kristi Jo Hanel. I went to beauty school back in 1999, I attended Michigan College of beauty and mentored under eight stylists while working at David Salon which is now Agape. I did some work in Clarkston too. But had to come back to my home town where I am here to serve all of you.
My Name is Brittney Doyon.I started at agape salon and spa when I was in beauty school. I was called in just for assistance and I’ve been here ever since. Hair has always been a passion of mine since I was a little girl; I attended Michigan College of beauty and graduated there in 2007. I’ve been doing hair for 3 years now and going on my 4th year at Agape. Last year I decided I wanted to go back to school and further my education in art. I enrolled at the Art Institute of Michigan in Novi and my major is Fashion Marketing. I would love to carry on my career as a Hairstylist/Fashion Director one day. I have goals and a lot of ambition I’m very grateful for the path given to me. I’m open for all the opportunities I have ahead of me and looking forward for a lifetime of a great career.
